The Crows say a plantar fascia injury will limit Walker’s training over the next fortnight but expect him to make a full recovery in five to six weeks.

Adelaide are six weeks away from their round one match against Essendon on March 23.

The Crows’ high performance manager Matt Hass said the strain was revealed in an assessment after the tall forward reported some soreness in his foot last week

“Fortunately, the injury doesn’t require surgery and he will make a full recovery after a period of rest,” he said.

The plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes and supports the arch of the foot.
