The best of South Australian tourism awarded in Adelaide
The 2019 South Australian Tourism Award winners were announced on Friday night at a gala dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Here is the list of winners across all categories

The awards celebrated more than 25 category winners from across South Australia, with the Premier’s Award for Service Excellence – the most prestigious award of the evening – being won by Seppeltsfield Winery Barossa.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Hon David Ridgway, said the winners would go on to represent South Australia at the national awards in March 2020.
“We celebrate the high standard of all finalists in the room and wish the winners all the best as you head to the national awards, proudly representing South Australia, and showcasing our state’s incredible passion, endeavour and innovation,” he said.
Besides the main category awards, six businesses were also welcomed into the South Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame for winning their respective categories for a third consecutive year:
- Adelaide Hills Convention Centre – Business Event Venues
- Adelaide Zoo – Major Tourist Attractions
- BIG4 Hahndorf Resort – Caravan and Holiday Parks
- Murray River Walk – Ecotourism
- South Australian Museum – Cultural Tourism
- Proud Mary – Specialised Tourism Services
The public awarded the RAA Voters’ Choice Tourism Award to two regional businesses for their commitment to delivering service excellence:
- Calypso Star Charters – Experience and / or Service
- Woodhouse Activity Centre – Accommodation
