Emergency services were called to a house on Condada Avenue, Park Holme, shortly before 5am today after the woman was found “collapsed and unresponsive” at the property.

The 51-year-old woman from Glengowrie was unable to be revived.

Police say they have arrested a 33-year-old man who lived at the Park Holme address. He is being interviewed by detectives at the Christies Beach Police Station.

The circumstances around the woman’s death remain under investigation by Major Crime Detectives, police said.

Detective chief inspector Mick Fisher told reporters the two people were “acquaintances, but not in a relationship”.

“Anyone with any information regarding this incident early this morning, I encourage to contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000,” he said.

Fisher said the SA Ambulance Service had notified police about the death.

He wouldn’t comment on whether the woman had suffered any injuries, saying it was too early in the investigation.

“Major Crime’s involvement and obviously with forensics is to determine what we’ve got at the scene,” he said.

“There’ll be a post-mortem conducted on the… deceased female person to ascertain the cause of death.”
