Peter Treloar

Member for Flinders directing rural business

Former Member of the South Australian House of Assembly Peter Treloar has been appointed to the Rural Business Support (RBS) Board of Directors.

Treloar served as the Member for Flinders from 2010 to 2022, during which time he held positions as Deputy Speaker and Chair of Committees, Opposition Whip, and Shadow Minister for Emergency Services and Veteran Affairs.

He was also Chair of the Select Committee on the Fire and Emergency Services Amendment Bill.

Treloar served on committees including the Natural Resources Standing Committee, the Economic and Finance Standing Committee, the Regional Affairs Committee and the Select Committee into Land Access.

Treloar studied grain industry structures at Nuffield Australia and is a member of the Nuffield Farming Scholars Association of Australia National Board of Management and has formerly served as Chair of the Nuffield South Australia Committee.

In addition to his political career, Treloar has served several community organisations, including the Landscapes SA Eyre Peninsula Board, SANFL Eyre Peninsula Community Football Board and the South Australian Farmers Federation Grains Council.

Danielle Elston

Nationwide communications

National strategic communications consultancy Australian Public Affairs (APA) has appointed Danielle Elston as Director of APA’s Adelaide office.

Elston has more than two decades of experience in government working across the Attorney-General’s Department, the Department for Environment and Water and the Department for Education. 

Throughout her career, Elston has delivered legislative reforms around domestic violence and residential tenancies; resolved consumer labelling for free-range eggs at a national level and lead public affairs functions on the Debelle Royal Commission and the Anderson Liquor Licensing Review.

She successfully lobbied the Australian Government to include allied health Medicare items in the MedicarePlus package in 2004 and has helped implement brand strategies and business models for new government agencies.

Tara Page

Turning a new page

Tara Page has been appointed Insurance Chief Executive of The Royal Automobile Association of South Australia (RAA).

Page has been acting in the role since March 2023 and with the appointment she becomes the company’s first female Chief Executive.

Page joined RAA in 2017 as General Counsel and has held roles as Company Secretary of RAA and RAA Insurance and as Chief Governance and Risk Officer.

Prior to joining RAA, she worked as Partner at the law firm Thomson Geer for almost a decade.

Peter de Cure

Taking a seat on the Tax Practitioners Board

After six years on the Tax Practitioners Board, Peter de Cure has been appointed Chair under a three-year tenure. 

De Cure is a former Tax Partner of the audit, tax and advisory service firm KPMG where he worked for over two decades.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

He serves as Chairman of the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA & NT, Wirra Wirra Vineyards, Gifford Hill and Accord Property.

De Cure is also a Director at the children’s charity Variety SA and the South Australian Fire and Emergency Commission.

Simone Dyda

Banking on Dyda

Customer-owned banking organisation Credit Union SA has appointed Simone Dyda as Chief Financial Officer.

Dyda was most recently employed as Executive Manager of Hostplus and has previously held roles as Chief Financial Officer of Statewide Super and Director of Ernst and Young.

She also serves as Deputy Chair on the Board of Operation Flinders Foundation, an organisation providing opportunities to rural and regional South Australian youth.

Peter Diamond

Appointing an industry gem

Peter Diamond has been appointed General Manager of Support and Research at Cancer Council SA.

Diamond joins the organisation from the Leukaemia Foundation where he was the National Head of Research.

He has a PhD in Immunology and held a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Hanson Centre for Cancer Research working on blood cancers

Diamond has also worked with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Thailand working on HIV/AIDS health programs.

Adam Oliver

Executive appointment at Telstra

Adam Oliver has been appointed Executive of the Enterprise Sales Chapter at Telstra, leading a team of more than 500 employees.

He has worked with the company for 21 years across the Consumer, Small Business and Enterprise Chapters. 

He was most recently Head of the National Client Sales Chapter.

Oliver serves as a Board Member of the Childhood Cancer Association and is currently studying for a degree in psychology at the University of South Australia.

Andrew Wallace

New leadership at Mobo Group

Disability employment service Mobo Group has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer and Chair.

Andrew Wallace has been appointed as the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer.

Wallace joins the organisation from Minda Incorporated where he was Executive Director of South Australian Group Enterprises.

Robert Styling has been appointed as the organisation’s Chair after six years on the Board.

He worked as General Manager of Disability Strategy and Excellence for employment service organisation Phoenix Society Incorporated for almost three decades.

Styling is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Country Fire Service Foundation and currently serves as Group Officer of the South Australian Country Fire Service.

Rosetta Rosa

Leading a not-for-profit

Not-for-profit organisation Catalyst Foundation has appointed Rosetta Rosa as Chief Executive Officer.

Rosa joins the community support organisation from the aged care facility Gawler Grande Views where she was Chief Executive Officer.

She formerly worked at Leading Age Services Australia as State Manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory and as State National Liaison Manager.

She serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the South Australian Skills Council.

Lisa Christo

NDA Law senior appointment

Lisa Christo, Senior Associate of Adelaide law firm NDA Law, has been promoted to Associate Director.

Christo joined the firm at its establishment in 2015 and became an Associate in 2018 and Senior Associate in 2021.

Prior to joining NDA Law, Christo was a Law Clerk at Finlaysons Lawyers.

She currently serves as a Member of the Boards for Crime Stoppers South Australia and L’Arche Adelaide.

Christo was a national finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards and was named a finalist for the Law Society of South Australia’s Young Lawyer Award in 2020.

Brooke Howell

New viticulturist in the Clare Valley

Brooke Howell has been appointed as Senior Viticulturalist at Jim Barry Wines in the Clare Valley.

She joins the winery after 12 years at Hill Smith Family Wines where she held Viticulturalist roles in the Barossa, Limestone Coast and Riverland before becoming the Barossa and Eden Valley Vineyard Manager and Viticulturalist in 2019.

Howell serves as Board Director and is the former President of the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology.

She is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
