Emergency services were called to the Torrensville business at 3am on Thursday after reports of a fire.
Police say the blaze was believed to have been caused by a Molotov cocktail.
It has been reported that the store is a shisha business.
On Monday, police said seven metropolitan arson attacks on vehicles, restaurants, and tobacco retailers were being investigated as part of Operation Eclipse.
Detective Superintendent Shane Addison, officer in charge at the Serious and Organised Crime Branch said 15 people of interest had been identified.
“Operation Eclipse has been focussed for some time on offences including arson, assault, extortion and money laundering linked to the illegal activity around tobacco,” he said.
