Emergency services were called to the Northern Expressway at Macdonald Park at 7:20 pm on Monday after reports a pedestrian was hit by a truck.

A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene, and the truck driver was assisting with investigations.

The Northern Expressway was closed for some time but has now reopened.
