The collision occurred just before 12:30am at Bookabie, about 103km west of Ceduna.

A 30-year-old truck driver from Clearview died at the scene, while the second driver – a 58-year-old Elizabeth Downs man – was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Eyre Highway is closed to heavy vehicles but open to other vehicles.

Major Crash investigators will attend the scene this morning.
