In more than 30 years in journalism, Willis has reported on a huge gamut of issues, from ultra-local news to the biggest issues facing Australia, such as the future of the Murray-Darling basin.

After beginning her career with Messenger newspapers in Adelaide, she has reported for newspapers in the UK, managed the central BBC press office in London, and has been a senior business journalist, opinion editor and rural editor with The Advertiser.

In recent years, she has worked as a freelance journalist, including reporting for titles published by Solstice Media – publisher of InDaily – such as SALIFE and The Lead.

Willis has deep knowledge of key industries for South Australia such as defence, mining and energy, and will be reporting on them in depth.

Her reporting brief for InDaily is wide, including business and the economy, politics, and social, cultural and environmental issues.
