The Rolling Stones have confirmed their Australian tour will go ahead later this year.

The Rolling Stones have confirmed they will return to Australia in October to complete their recently postponed tour.

The Stones cancelled their Australia and New Zealand tour in March, including a concert to launch the revamped Adelaide Oval, following the death of frontman Mick Jagger’s long-time partner L’Wren Scott.

Scott was found dead in her New York apartment soon after the band arrived in Perth to begin their tour.

The band announced on their official website today that the rescheduled Australia/ New Zealand tour dates would take place between 25 October and 22 November 2014.

“Exact dates for each city will be released as soon as the scheduling is confirmed,” the notice said. “Australia/New Zealand promoters ask ticket holders to please hold on to their tickets until further notice.

“The Rolling Stones wish to thank their fans in Australia and New Zealand for their patience and understanding at this time.”

Frontier said that while it encouraged fans to hold on to their tickets, a refund option was also available.

People who have bought tickets to the Adelaide concert and wish to get a refund should call Ticketek.
