Bird in Hand launches Gallery Restaurant

Adelaide Hills’ winery Bird in Hand opened its highly anticipated Gallery Restaurant to nearly 100 guests last month. Offering fine wine, food and a newly refurbished gallery space, the new restaurant celebrates the next stage in the evolution of Bird in Hand brand.

Chef Paul Gillespie, former Hilton Hotel chef, has designed the menu to compliment the Bird in Hand portfolio of wines and guests are invited to take a wine pairing journey or order limited release wines.

Bird in Hand’s Executive Director Andrew Nugent said “the currency here at Bird in Hand is quality. This is our product and what we exchange. Whilst we specialise in the art of wine we welcome all fields at the highest level – food, music, design and art of all positive forms.”

Interior designer Zoe Elvish created the restaurant space that enhances the existing building’s unique vista over the vineyard and rolling hills. An eclectic mix of furniture, including custom pieces by Justin Hermes, furnish a light-filled and intimate space surrounded by contemporary works of art.

The Gallery Restaurant is part of Bird in Hand’s ongoing collaboration with the arts scene and makes a significant addition to the cultural landscape in the thriving Adelaide Hills wine and food region.

The restaurant is open for lunch on weekends and public holidays.
