Banking on a new executive team
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank has announced significant changes to its executive team as it looks to grow its digital bank, Up, and the Bendigo Lending Platform and Agri transformation.

General marketing manager Sarah Bateson will become chief marketing officer in a new brand, marketing and communications division.
The bank said she “brings with her considerable experience in leading Marketing and Customer teams in Australia and internationally”.

Taso Corolis has been appointed as chief customer officer of consumer banking, “with a focus on continuing to drive portfolio growth and productivity enhancements”.
Corolis is based in Adelaide and spent the past six years as chief risk officer at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.

Before this, he spent seven years as program director of Basel II and head of risk analytics, governance and reporting at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.
Xavier Shay will take on the role of chief digital officer in addition to his current role at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s digital bank Up.
The bank said he “will bring together the Bank’s digital capabilities and will be responsible for driving greater penetration of our digital offerings across the Bendigo and Up brands”.
Maggie Beer Foundation welcomes new CEO
Jane Mussared has been appointed as CEO of the Maggie Beer Foundation, where she will advance its “mission to raise the bar and change the food and dining experience in the aged care sector.

Mussared joins the Maggie Beer Foundation from an advisory role to Federal Health and Aged Care Minister Mark Butler.
The Maggie Beer Foundation said that with three decades in executive positions, Mussared “has garnered a wealth of knowledge, networks and skills in public and for purpose policy analysis and advocacy, leadership, strategy, communication and governance”.
In her role, Mussared will continue to evolve and scale its aged-care chef and cook training programs.
She will also lead the Maggie Beer Foundation’s involvement in developing new training, careers and qualifications for cooks and chefs in partnership with the aged care and vocational education sectors.
The Maggie Beer Foundation was established ten years ago with the aim of “addressing the quality of food and the dining experience for all older Australians via education and training of the cooks and chefs at the coalface of the industry”.
Renewal SA renews leadership
Renewal SA bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Shane Wingard as executive director of property and major projects and Peter Gatsios as executive director of residential project delivery and assets.

Wingard has been at Renewal SA for the past seven years, where he was previously executive director of residential project delivery and assets, senior director of residential and project director of Bowden.
Renewal SA said that in his new role, Wingard will “continue to deliver on his extensive experience in the property sector, with a strong proficiency in project management, multi-agency collaboration, and complex property transactions”.
Gatsios has been at Renewal SA since October 2023 and was previously the development director of residential growth.

Renewal SA said Gatsios “brings a wealth of experience in the property and development industry, having managed significant residential and commercial projects across South Australia, including Mawson Lakes, Lightsview, WEST and Oakden Rise”.
Renewal SA chief executive Chris Menz said that “in these pivotal leadership roles, Renewal SA is uniquely positioned to maintain our strong momentum and deliver on the state’s ambitious growth agenda across in particular in the areas of housing supply, precincts and landmark investment opportunities”.

NBN Co appoints CEO
Ellie Sweeney has been appointed CEO of NBN Co and will start in early December 2024.

NBN Co said she “will lead the company that is building, operating and upgrading the national broadband network”.
Sweeney joins NBN Co from Vocus, where she served as both CEO and chief financial officer.
Before this, she spent over 11 at Telstra, where she was executive director of global enterprise services and executive director of global sales.
Kate McKenzie, chair of NBN Co, said she “brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape, and will continue to deliver on our ambition to ensure that homes and businesses have access to world-class broadband”.
Centrex non-executive director steps down
Centrex Limited has announced the resignation of non-executive director Graham Chrisp due to personal circumstances.

Chrisp was the company’s CEO from 2003 to 2005, executive director from 2011 and executive chairman from 2019 to 2021.
He was also a member of the company’s remuneration and nomination committee and audit and risk committee.
Chrisp is a long-term shareholder of Centrex and oversaw its transition from exploration to production.
A promotion at Providence Wealth South Australia
Thyra Wilton has been promoted to director at boutique wealth advisory group Providence Wealth South Australia and will sit on its board.

In the new role, Wilton will have further oversight of the strategic direction and governance of Providence Wealth SA.
Wilton co-founded Providence Wealth SA alongside Tony Michaels in 2022 and was associate director and investment advisor before being promoted.
Providence Wealth SA said that “she has played a significant role in establishing the business, leading investment strategies, building the reputation of the group and increasing revenue by 25 per cent year-on-year, while closely managing the firm’s client relationship strategies”.
Wilton has over 15 years of experience in wealth management and before co-founding Providence Wealth SA she was chief service officer at Hood Sweeney.
Providence Wealth SA works with family offices and high-net-worth clients, providing investment advisory, family succession advisory and legacy planning.
A port of call
Tania Davey has joined Flinders Port Holdings as chief information officer, while Ian Usher has been promoted to chief financial officer.

In her new role, Davey will lead Flinders Port Holdings’ digital and technology strategy.
Before joining Flinders Port Holdings, she worked at BHP as head of digital, robotics and automation and chief transformation officer at OZ Minerals.

Before his promotion, Usher was general manager of finance at Flinders Port Holdings.
In his new role, Usher will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Flinders Port Holdings’ finance and treasury functions.
Before joining Flinders Port Holdings, was senior manager in the external audit division of KPMG, where he worked for over 13 years.
Flinders Port Holdings is a privately owned port, logistics and container terminal services group based in Port Adelaide.

Tilbrook Rasheed charts new territory
Tilbrook Rasheed Chartered Accountants has announced the promotions of Kayla Pearce, Adam Coumi, Chris Williams and Josh Jackson from manager to senior associate, effective immediately.

Pearce started as a junior accountant and has worked at Tilbrook Rasheed for the past 18 years.
Coumi, Williams and Jackson all started as accountants at Tilbrook Rasheed over eight years ago, progressing through the ranks to senior accountants, assistant managers and most recently, managers.

The accounting firm said the “promotions recognise their outstanding contribution, dedication, and leadership within the company.
