Supporting hospital research

Sarah Grindlay has joined the Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF) as Program Director of Arthritis.

Grindlay joins the foundation from Humanity Health Group where she was the National Operations Manager of Dietetics.

She is the former Senior Dietitian and Allied Health Clinical Network Director at Gladstone Hospital.

The appointment comes after Arthritis SA joined THRF in March 2023 to provide support services and programs for people with arthritis.

Grindlay took on the role after Steve Morris stepped down from the position to become Chief Executive Officer of The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.

Tina Tomaszewski

Crowning a partner

Tina Tomaszewski, Special Counsel of Finlaysons Lawyers, has been promoted to Partner.

Tomaszewski joined Finlaysons in 2021 from the Crown Solicitors Office where she worked for 25 years, most recently as Senior Solicitor.

During her time with the Crown Solicitors Office, Tomaszewski worked on inquests including the death of Mr Rollbusch, the death of Mellanie Paltridge and the ‘Marksman’ Inquest.

She also managed a team of more than a dozen solicitors handling all Non-Party Disclosure Applications and Subpoenas, and third-party recovery actions pursued by the State of South Australia.

Vincent Ciccarello

Board position for AGSA philanthropy head

Vincent Ciccarello has joined the Pembroke School Foundation Board as a Member.

Cicarello is the Head of Philanthropy and Enterprise for the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA).

Prior to joining AGSA, Ciccarello was Managing Director of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.

He currently serves as Deputy Chair of Adelaide UNESCO City of Music and of the Adelaide Italian Festival.

He is a former Member of The University of Adelaide’s Creativity and Culture Advisory Board and also served as a Member of the Department for Education’s Music Education Strategy Advisory Panel.

Anderson Solicitors has appointed Michelle Hutton as Partner and Head of the Wills and Estates team.

She joins the company from Caveo Partners Legal where she was Director and Senior Lawyer.

She has held roles with Harris Freidman Lawyers, Kain C+C Lawyers and Hutton Cragg Legal.

Hutton’s first job out of university was with Anderson Solicitors and the team said they are “delighted” to have her return to the company after more than two decades.

Daniel Idema

New direction

DW Fox Tucker Lawyers has appointed Daniel Idema as Tax and Commercial Director.

Idema was formerly a Partner at Lynch Meyer Lawyers and worked in Brisbane as an Associate for Results Legal.

He began his career in law as an Associate for D’Angelo Lawyers on Goodwood Road.
