Rebecca Humble

Developing top tech

Specialist industrial services provider SAGE Group has appointed Rebecca Humble to the newly created role of Chief of Corporate Development.

Humble joins the company from Nova Systems where she was Chief of Strategy and Corporate Affairs.

She has over a decade of experience working with defence company BAE Systems in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States and held roles as Strategy Director, Vice President of Global Strategy and Program Director of Tornado Aircraft.

Humble currently serves as Chairperson of Seymour College.

Richard Udall

Defence industry movements

Defence, aviation and critical services company Babcock Australasia has appointed Richard Udall as Managing Director of Mission and Support Systems.

Udall joins the company after 15 years with BAE Systems Australia where he was employed most recently as Strategic Surveillance Program Director.

He previously worked in London as the International Programmes Business Manager at the aerospace, defence and security company Leonardo, formerly known as AgustaWestland.

Justin Ross

Managing Riverland wine

The Riverland Wine Industry Blueprint Steering Committee has appointed JRo & Co’s Principal Consultant Justin Ross as Project Manager.

Ross is the former Grants Program Manager of Wine Australia and worked for 10 years at Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) as Director of Agriculture, Food and Wine.

He was formerly Market Development Executive Officer of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s National Food Industry Strategy and as an Export Advisor for Austrade.

The appointment comes as Dennis Mutton was made Independent Chair of the committee earlier this month.

Iain Hay

Academic advancements

The Australian Institute of Business has appointed Iain Hay as Academic Dean.

Hay joins the institute from his role as the Matthew Flinders Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Geography at Flinders University where he worked for more than two decades.

He currently holds positions on the Health Care Insurance Board and SACE Board.

Hay takes on the role from outgoing Academic Dean Ingrid Day who is moving on to pursue a consulting career after almost five years in the role.

Corporate Position: the latest executive employment opportunities

The not-for-profit organisation using expertise in dogs and vision to promote independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people with low vision or blindness or specialised support needs, Guide Dogs SA/NT is looking to appoint a Partnerships Manager. The role is responsible for creating long-term value for Guide Dogs SA/NT through understanding markets, developing valuable networks, deploying donor acquisition strategies and building strong internal and external relationships to ensure sustainability and increased engagement amongst partners and supporters. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications and working closely with the Fundraising, Marketing and Business Development teams, the Partnerships Manager will lead a small team of specialists to develop and implement operational plans and budgets, develop and build stakeholder relationships and represent the organisation through national programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a respected organisation with a positive and constructive culture with applications encouraged from professionals with demonstrated experience in business acquisition and relationship management.

John Ranaldo

Holding a new role

John Ranaldo has been appointed Executive General Manager of Commercial at Flinders Port Holdings.

Ranaldo joins the company from SAHMRI where he held roles as Executive General Manager of Corporate Services and Commercial Enterprises and as Chief Financial Officer.

He was formerly Finance Director of Australia and New Zealand at defence and aviation services company, Babcock Australasia.

Ranaldo has also served as Non-Executive Director of not-for-profit organisation JamFactory.

Kathryn Shaw

Starting with Solstice Media

The parent company of InDailySALIFE magazine and CityMag, Solstice Media has appointed Kathryn Shaw as Chief Finance Officer.

Shaw joins the media company from Penley Estate where she served as Financial Controller and Regional Sales Manager.

She was formerly a Chartered Accountant at the bookkeeping company Fleurieu Figures and worked in Sydney as Suncorp Group’s Team Leader of Life Insurance.

Making ace appointments

Adelaide Contemporary Experimental (ACE) has appointed three new Members to its Board.

Bridget Currie is an Adelaide-based artist working across sculpture, performance, drawing, writing, public art and installation.

Throughout her career, she has been a Resident Artist in Japan, Spain, Lithuania and the United Kingdom.

Fiona Salmon is Director of Flinders University Art Museum College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

She has served as Chair of University Art Museums Australia and as Industry Representative on the Adelaide Central School of Art Academic Board.

Louise Rigoni is joint Managing Director of Customs Agency Services, a family-owned company that recently joined the Mondiale VGL group.

She has served as Executive Member of the Western Business Leaders Group for the City of Charles Sturt and as Non-Association Member of the Trade and Goods Compliance Advisory Group for the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

The appointments come as James DarlingMary-Jean Richardson and Leigh Robb retire from their roles as Members of the Board.

Tim Collin

Accounting for family

Accounting firm William Buck has appointed Tim Collin as a Specialist Family Office Advisor of its wealth advisory division.

He was formerly Director and Co-Owner of South Australian brewery, Vale Brewing.

Collin previously held the role of Director of Adelaide University Sport and Fitness and Hockey South Australia and is the former President of Adelaide University Hockey Club.
