Mimi Crowe

City creative making moves to Carclew

Mimi Crowe has joined not-for-profit arts organisation Carclew as Chief Executive.

Crowe most recently led the Creative City program at the City of Adelaide and has more than six years of experience working as Producer of Taranthi at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Further leadership positions held by Crowe include Advocacy Director at the National Association for the Visual Arts, Head of Development and Strategy at the State Theatre Company of South Australia and General Manager for Design + Architecture SA.

She is a current Board Member at Brink Productions.

Crowe will take on the role from Acting Chief Executive Amanda Macri in June 2023.

Jason Downs

Values aligning

Not-for-profit organisation Reconciliation SA has appointed Jason Downs as Chief Executive Officer.

Downs has an extensive history working with the South Australian Government focusing on engaging and collaborating with First Nations people.

These roles include Leader for Aboriginal Engagement for the Department of Primary Industries and Regions and Land Management Coordinator for Aboriginal Lands Trust.

He has also held roles as Senior Consultant for Rural Solutions SA and Manager of Client Engagement for the Department of State Development and the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science.

Tish Naughton

Feast your eyes

Entrepreneur Tish Naughton has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Feast Festival after serving as the organisation’s Operations Manager since February 2023.

Naughton has previously owned and operated small businesses in the finance and retail sector and worked as Managing Director of Square Products and Black Sheep Finance.

Naughton takes over from former Chief Executive Officer Helen Sheldon, who led Feast Festival for the past six years.

Her appointment coincides with international Lesbian Visibility Week.

Dennis Mutton

Raise a glass to the Riverland

Riverland Wine has appointed Dennis Mutton as Independent Chair to guide the Riverland Wine Industry Blueprint commencing May 1.

Mutton is Vice President of the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia and Non-Executive Director of Duxton Water Limited.

He is also Deputy Presiding Member of the State Commission Assessment Panel and Councillor of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia.

Mutton currently serves on the Board of G.I.C. Wine Australia and has previously held Board positions with multiple organisations associated with South Australia’s rural and regional industries.

Corporate Position: the latest executive employment opportunities

The Lifetime Support Authority, a treatment, care and support service for people who sustain lifelong disabilities from motor vehicle accidents in South Australia, is seeking to appoint allied health and medical professionals as Expert Review Panel Members. Expert Review Panel Members will work with the Chief Executive to ensure their vision for the organisation is realised within a structure of transparent governance and the highest standards of participant safety, service quality and process fairness. The roles are flexible and part-time with appropriate remuneration for time committed. If successfully appointed, no guarantee of work is made as the panels are sessional and convened on an ad hoc basis.

Property development and investment company Adelaide Development Company is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Group Accountant, the role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial reports; providing information to project managers to aid in financial analysis; and providing support on special projects. The role is offered on a full-time basis with flexible working arrangements of a minimum of 30 hours per week negotiable to secure the right candidate.

Catherine Turnadge

Music to ASO’s ears

The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) has appointed Catherine Turnadge as Director of Finance.

Turnadge joins the ASO from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Dural Wines, the parent company of Kaesler and Saint & Scholar.

She has previously held positions as Financial Controller of Duxton Vineyards and Director of Corporate Finance at Accolade Wines.

Marcus Wallman

Special Counsel for Norman Waterhouse Lawyers

Marcus Wallman has been appointed Special Counsel of the Corporate and Commercial Team at Norman Waterhouse Lawyers.

He joins the company from his role as Director at transactional and advisory law firm Laity Morrow.

Wallman was formerly employed as Associate at American firm Sidley Austin LLP in Los Angeles before taking on a role in London as Senior Associate for Nabarro LLP – now known as CMS Law.

Before returning to Adelaide in 2017, Wallman was Partner at corporate law firm Al Tamimi & Company in Dubai.

Elissa Graves

Communicating with COTA SA

Not-for-profit organisation Council of the Ageing SA (COTA SA) has appointed Elissa Graves as Communications Manager.

Graves spent 12 years working for the City of Tea Tree Gully, the final seven as Manager of Customer and Communications.

She is currently completing a Master of Human Rights at Curtin University.

Shannon Sims

Promoting an associate

Shannon Sims has been appointed Associate at chartered accounting and advisory company Brentnalls SA.

She has been promoted to the role from her position as Manager.

Sims was formerly a Senior Financial Accountant for SA Health before taking on a role as Finance and Administration Manager at building manufacturer Raven Products.
