SA’s top 100 businesses: 40 to 21
Today we reveal the fourth group of companies in InDaily’s South Australian Business Index – our annual review of the top private and public companies in the state.
InDaily’s ranking of the state’s top 100 companies by market capitalisation and revenue covers the 2019-20 financial year and includes more volatility than usual, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The list, compiled for InDaily by Adelaide financial services firm Taylor Collison, is the state’s most definitive guide to our top companies (scroll to the bottom of the page for eligibility criteria).
The countdown began on Monday and will continue all week – with the top 20 and full list revealed in InDaily tomorrow. InDaily will also announce winners of individual awards tomorrow – a “rising star” award for the company that has jumped furthest up the rankings, a revenue growth award, and another recognising the best new entrant to the Index.
Go here to see the companies ranked 100 to 81, here for those ranked 80 to 61, and here for those ranked 60 to 41.
In today’s group of companies, Taylor Collison director Scott Dolling singled out Nova Aerospace, which specialises in engineering and management services for the aerospace and defence industries, as a strong performer.
“Nova celebrated its 20th year of business with a bang, with its revenues up 46 per cent to more than $260 million,” Dolling said.
“Nova has just recently appointed a new CEO Jim McDowell, with Jim previously having served at BAE Systems and most recently as the chief executive for the South Australian Department of Premier and Cabinet.”
