OTR to fill 130 new jobs before Christmas
South Australian service station chain, On The Run, wants to hire more than 100 new staff before Christmas with jobs available in some of the state’s unemployment hot spots.
The chain, which has some 2200 staff at 125 stores, has recently opened stores in Murray Bridge, Port Wakefield Road in Bolivar, Aldinga and Kingston, with a fifth to open in Clare, creating 130 full-time, part-time and casual positions before Christmas, which are expected to be ongoing.
Ninety of the new jobs will be offered at stores around metropolitan Adelaide.
The unemployment rate in Adelaide’s north lies at 9.1 per cent.
OTR chief operating officer Michaela Webster said the recruitment net had been widened to accept people with little or no experience.
“We want to fill 130 positions immediately and we are looking for people to work in both crew and management roles in a full time, part time or casual capacity,” Webster said.
“We are also looking to break the mould when it comes to recruitment at OTR.
“We want school leavers looking for a casual job over the summer period with little or no experience to apply as well as people with greater experience and maturity.”
OTR’s outlet on Port Wakefield Road, Bolivar, has 16 positions open for people with food experience highly regarded.
The Murray Bridge and Kingston outlets have 10 jobs for people with food experience highly regarded, full training provided and flexible shifts across a 24-hour roster.
In Ceduna, 10 positions are open for people with food experience highly regarded, full training provided and flexible shifts across a 24-hour roster.
