Ride with Whincup below. 277,800 AT THE CLIPSAL 500 Clarke too strong for Bingle bait A woman has died and a man has been critically injured after an explosion in a Campbelltown unit overnight. Neighbours of the Peter Place unit reported the explosion about 3.20am, with fire fighters arriving shortly after. They were unable to immediately enter due to intense heat, but managed to save several adjoining units. It took 15 fire fighters about 15 minutes to control the blaze. The woman's body was found in the destroyed unit after the fire was extinguished, while the man was found outside and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Police and the Metropolitan Fire Service are investigating the cause of the explosion. Police followed the golf cart across Fullarton Road before it was found dumped at the Rose Park Primary School. Police said despite some alcohol-related incidents, the large crowds at Clipsal 500 were generally well- behaved. Cannabis bust A man has been arrested and numerous cannabis plants and hydroponics equipment seized following a raid of a house at Torrensville. The 29-year-old man was charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis, possession of prescribed equipment, theft and diverting electricity. Who invited him? The internationally renowned "Father of Global Warming" , US-based Dr James Hansen, passed through Adelaide unheralded late last week. Managed by the Premier's Department, his speech last Thursday night included a slap at the idea of emissions trading schemes and promotion of nuclear power as an energy source.
